Distillery: Long Pond


Long Pond Distillery, based in Trelawny district in Jamaica, was composed of a sugar refinery and a distillery. It was divided in 2009.
Hampden, the current owner, takes as a starting point the style “Wedderburn”, named according to the dispatched deeply corrosive first rums at the end of the years 1700.

TASTING NOTES

Nose: caramel, vanilla, butter, exotic fruits notes with mango and papaya
Taste: the mouth is round, with flavours of crème brulée, roasted and caramelized hazelnuts
Finish: soft aftertaste, well balanced between nuts and spices
